# Add a payment method

Add credits to your Substy wallet by card or cryptocurrency and resolve common payment-form blockers.

Choose Card or Crypto when you add credits to your Substy wallet from Billing.

## Before you start

-   You need View billing access to open Billing.
    
-   You need Top up billing wallet access to use Add Credits.
    

## Add credits by Card or Crypto

1.  Open Billing from the sidebar, stay on Overview, and select Add Credits.
    
2.  If you see Billing Information Required, select Add Billing Information and complete your billing details before continuing.
    
3.  Under Payment Method, select Card or Crypto.
    
4.  Enter an amount that the form currently allows. For Crypto, choose from the options currently shown.
    
5.  For Card, enter your card details and complete the payment flow. For Crypto, complete the payment in the separate window.
    

## If Crypto options do not load

Select Retry. To continue by card instead, select Use card.

## About saved payment methods

Billing Overview also has an Automatic top-up area with saved-card controls. This is separate from the one-time Add Credits flow above.

You need Manage billing access to manage these settings and delete saved cards. Adding a card or enabling automatic top-up also requires Top up billing wallet access. Review the selected cards, their order, the threshold, the top-up amount, and the authorization shown in the form before saving. Follow any card-confirmation or error message rather than assuming checkout completion means the card is ready.
