# Manage fan details and notes

View and update access-dependent fan details, notes, financial context, and pinned conversations.

In Messages, select a fan to open the right panel. Use its Fan, Creator, and History tabs to review the available context.

## Check access before editing

-   The Fan tab shows activity.
    
-   Editing fan information requires edit access.
    
-   Financial details require separate access. Payday, salary, and job are available for editing only with that financial access.
    

## Update fan details and notes

1.  Open the Fan tab for the selected fan.
    
2.  With edit access, update location and timezone, birthday and age, or interests as needed.
    
3.  Use Additional Information for available fields such as name, nickname, origins, hobbies, likes, dislikes, dreams, gender, and Other Notes.
    
4.  Select Save for changes in Additional Information.
    

## Information that may be display-only

Existing list and inbox-assignment information can appear when available. Do not expect to edit those values from this panel.

## Pin or unpin the conversation

1.  Use the pin action in the conversation header.
    
2.  Find pinned conversations in the top navigation.
    

## Fix common problems

-   A field is missing or read-only: check whether it requires fan-edit or financial access.
    
-   An Additional Information change was not kept: make the change again and select Save.
    
-   A pinned conversation is not at the top of the inbox: look for it in the top navigation.
