# Navigate Messages

Choose a creator, move between conversations, use current filters, and open available fan information.

Use Messages to move between the conversations available for an assigned creator.

## Open Messages

1.  Open Messages.
    
2.  Choose an assigned creator that is connected.
    
3.  Complete the requested verification if Substy asks for it.
    

## Move around on desktop or mobile

-   On desktop, use the pinned-conversation bar, collapsible conversation list, active conversation, and fan-information panel when it is available.
    
-   On mobile, switch between the conversation list and the active conversation. Open fan information separately when it is available.
    

## Find a conversation

-   Search conversations or choose All or Unread.
    
-   Use Handoff when it is available.
    
-   Use pinned lists or the current Sort & Filter controls to narrow the list further.
    

## Open available conversation details

The conversation header and the Fan, Creator, and History tabs show only the actions and information available to you.

## If an option is unavailable

Available filters and actions can vary by creator platform, creator settings, plan, and your access. Recheck the selected creator when the layout or controls differ.
