# Send a direct message with media or PPV content

Use the conversation composer to send text, attach media, or prepare a paid direct message.

Open **Messages**, select a creator, then select the fan conversation. You need Messages view access to open conversations and message access to use the composer.

## Send a text message

1.  Type in **Message this fan...**.
    
2.  Press **Enter** or use the **Send** button. In the wide layout, the button reads **Send Message**.
    

## Add a script or media

-   Choose **Insert script** to add a saved script.
    
-   Choose **Add media (⌘G)** or drag media into the composer, then review the selected media.
    

## Prepare a PPV

1.  Choose **Make this a PPV**.
    
2.  Enter a price of at least $3 and no more than the selected platform allows: $200 for OnlyFans, or $500 for Fanvue and MYM.
    
3.  Include at least one paid attachment, or turn on **Locked text**.
    
4.  Review the platform-specific media rules below, then send the message.
    

## Check the selected platform

-   **Fanvue:** a paid direct message with media can have one attachment marked as the preview.
    
-   **MYM:** separate preview media is not supported. Attach no more than five items; if more are submitted, only the first five are sent.
    

## If Send is unavailable

-   If the fan is blocked, unblock the fan before sending; the composer is disabled while the fan is blocked.
    
-   For a PPV, correct the price and keep at least one attachment as paid media or enable **Locked text**. If every attachment is a preview, move one to paid.
