Understanding Template Pricing

Every script in Substy is made up of individual templates, sometimes called PPV steps. Each template represents one piece of content that gets sent to the fan during a conversation. Free Content (Price = $0)

When you set a template's price to $0, the content is sent as a free message. The fan can view the media without making any payment. Free templates are useful for:

Teaser content that builds curiosity and interest
Introduction messages at the start of a script

Building rapport before transitioning to paid content

What Is Hybrid Mode?

Hybrid Mode is a powerful feature available on the Elite plan that combines AI automation with human expertise. Instead of having the AI handle entire conversations from start to finish, Hybrid Mode lets the AI manage initial interactions and then seamlessly hand off to your human chatters once specific conditions are met.

This gives you the best of both worlds: AI handles the high-volume, repetitive early stages of conversations while your team takes over for high-value interactions where a personal touch makes the biggest difference.

How Hybrid Mode Works

When Hybrid Mode is enabled for a creator, the AI operates normally through the conversation phases (discovery, pre-sexualisation, sexting, PPV delivery) until a stop condition is triggered. Once the condition is met, the AI stops responding to that fan's messages and your team takes over.

Here is the typical flow:

A fan sends a message to your creator.
The AI responds automatically, progressing through conversation phases.
The AI sends PPVs, handles negotiations, and builds the relationship.
When the stop condition is triggered (e.g., the fan has spent a certain amount), the AI stops.
The conversation appears in your team's queue, and a human chatter picks it up.
Your team continues the conversation with full context from the AI's history.

Where to Find Your Scripts

To access all your scripts:

Go to Tools > Scripts in the left sidebar.
You'll see your list of existing scripts. For an overview of what scripts are, see What Are Scripts?
Each script has two main actions on the right:

Edit — Open the script settings and modify details.
Duplicate — Clone the script to reuse or slightly modify it. For details on cross-creator duplication, see Script Modes, Requirements, and Cross-Creator Duplication.

Editing a Script

Click the pen icon next to a script to open the Edit Script panel.Here, you can adjust all the key parameters of the script.

Overview

The Messages interface is designed for clarity and speed.It gives you a complete view of conversations, fan data, and AI controls — all in one place — so your chatters can work efficiently without switching screens. To access it, navigate to Messages in the Substy dashboard sidebar.

You'll see three main areas:

Inbox Panel (left) – list of all fans and filters.
Chat Window (center) – the active conversation.
Fan Profile Panel (right) – insights, notes, and controls for that fan.

Inbox Panel

The inbox panel lists all active and recent conversations.Each fan card shows:

Their username.
The most recent message snippet.
Their total spend (if available).
Whether the AI or a human is chatting.

From here, you can also:

Search fans by name or ID.
Filter by unread messages, spend level, or following status. For advanced filtering options, see Split Inbox and Filters.
See fans' activity (online status, last seen, etc.).

Use filters to focus on high-value or newly active fans. You can also organize fans into fan lists and segments for targeted outreach.

Chat Window

The center of the screen is your chat window, where you send and receive messages.You can:

Select the platform that you use.

Choose on which platform your creator is. Substy currently supports OnlyFans and Fanvue.
Login the account
