Compare AI Chatter modes

AI Chatter modes control how Substy replies for the selected creator. Changing a mode here does not automatically change every creator in your agency.

These modes control AI Chatter, not automations configured separately.

Mode comparison

• Manual only: your team sends messages manually. AI does not auto reply for this creator.

• Full AI Mode: AI can run conversations, scripts, upsells, and follow-up without a manual handoff for this creator.

• Hybrid Mode: AI starts the chat, then pauses for the fan when the configured spend or subscription rules call for a human handoff. Hybrid Mode requires Elite.

Reply availability

The mode decides whether AI is allowed to reply. The reply availability setting decides when it can reply. Always Active means any time. Team Shifts means only during covered hours in Team Management. If no shift is scheduled, AI sends nothing.

How to choose

• Use Manual only when your team wants full control.

• Use Full AI Mode when you want AI to manage the conversation without a handoff rule.

• Use Hybrid Mode when you want AI to handle early conversation and move qualified fans to your team.
