What Substy Intelligence can do
Open Ask Substy, ask questions about your agency, review what it can read and change, manage its memory, and see how usage-based work is billed to your wallet.
Substy Intelligence is the assistant behind Ask Substy in the Substy sidebar. Ask about your agency in plain language and it answers with live data, charts, and tables. With your approval, it can also make some changes for you.
It is a different surface from AI Chatter, which replies to fans, and from AI Playground, which tests AI Chatter.
What you can use it for
- See how you are doing: revenue, sales, subscriptions, PPV, tips, bundles, and trends across the creators you can access.
- Compare what works: script and template performance, automation health, and fan and segment aggregates.
- Look inside conversations: browse the creator platform inbox, or open one fan profile or conversation.
- Check your traffic: tracking-link lists and their analytics.
- Review your team: employee and chatter performance, limited to the data you are allowed to see.
- Get a change made: describe the edit you want and approve it when it is ready.
Open and use Substy Intelligence
- In the Substy sidebar, select Ask Substy, under Search.
- Type your question where the box says "Ask anything about your agency...", then send it. Before your first question, the page offers suggestions such as Last 15 days stats and Top 10 spenders.
- To point at one record, type @ or select Add context, then choose a creator, script, automation, media item, fan, or conversation.
- To include a file, use Attach files for an image, CSV, or PDF, or the microphone to record a voice note. You can add up to five files per turn, 20 MB each.
While a run is in progress you see a Working indicator and short activity labels such as "Loading platform chats." The answer streams in with charts and tables, and Thought expands the reasoning summary shown with an answer. Stop generating cancels a run, and Copy and Regenerate appear under an answer.
If you do not see Ask Substy, ask an Owner or a role manager to grant you the Use Substy Intelligence permission.
Chats, history, and approvals
- The left panel lists your chats. Use New chat, Search chats, rename, pin, archive, and delete. Pinned chats stay at the top, and archived chats move to Archived until you reopen them. View files in chat shows the files and media used in the current chat.
- Your chats are private to you.
- Reading data runs immediately. Anything that changes your agency waits for you: an Approval required card describes the change, and you choose Approve or Reject. Cards marked Cannot be undone describe destructive changes, and some actions always require a fresh approval.
What it can change
With the matching permission and your approval, Substy Intelligence can:
- send or unsend a fan message;
- hide or mute a chat, or block, restrict, and unrestrict a fan;
- create, update, or delete tracking links;
- edit creator profile fields;
- create, duplicate, update, or delete scripts;
- create, update, or toggle automations;
- draft, update, schedule, or publish content.
What it cannot access
- It cannot change roles, permissions, or user access.
- It cannot open Billing or payouts: your wallet, plan, invoices, and employee payouts are out of scope.
- It never grants extra access. Everything it can read or change is limited by your role, your data scope, and your creator access, and it rechecks that access before each change.
- It cannot make a change before the approval and permission checks succeed.
- You cannot choose the model that answers.
If your access changes later, chats that used data you can no longer open show a protected placeholder instead of the removed content.
How memory works
Open the brain icon at the top of the chat panel to manage Intelligence memory. It keeps durable facts that Substy Intelligence recalls across chats, in two scopes:
- Your memory is private to you.
- Agency memory is shared with your team. Only Owners and Admins can open it.
Use Remember to save a note, or edit, Forget, and Forget all to remove notes. A chat's menu also has Forget chat memory, which removes the memories created from that chat. Intelligence recalls relevant memories by itself, and durable statements such as "Remember that...", "I prefer...", or "From now on..." can be saved automatically. When that happens, a Remembered for next time chip appears with Undo and Share with agency.
Memory holds up to 100 personal notes per member and 250 shared notes per agency. Only durable facts are stored: live analytics and sensitive fan data are never saved to memory.
Where pricing appears
Substy Intelligence is billed by usage. You pay for the AI work your questions actually use, not for a number of seats or a fixed add-on, and each charge is applied to your agency wallet.
Every Intelligence usage charge is the cost of the underlying AI usage plus a 20% orchestration fee for Substy. The chat itself never shows a price, a model, or a per-message cost, so the amounts stay on the Billing page:
- Open Billing > Overview to check Wallet, Available Balance, Usage, and recent transactions.
- Open Billing > History to search and filter transactions, including your Intelligence usage charges.
- Open Billing > Subscriptions to review each creator's plan and status.
Access is controlled by the Use Substy Intelligence permission in Team Management. Owners and Admins have it by default, and other roles need it assigned. See The four default roles and How permissions and data visibility work.
